Project Rescue: The Campaign to Save Young Lives

When you donate to Project Rescue, you'll save young lives from poverty and homeless.

When asked why they support Project Rescue, campaign co-chairs Stuart and Mimi Rose respond, "It's our duty as a community to let these kids know we care and to give them hope and opportunity. We'll change their lives forever and better our community in the process. We hope you'll join us!"

Each year, hundreds of homeless kids age 10 to 24 seek shelter and support at Daybreak.

They come from backgrounds of poverty, neglect, abuse, and violence. These kids don't have a place to call home, a support system, a high school diploma, a job.

They don't even have plans for tomorrow, let alone plans or hopes for the future. Day-to-day survival is all they can think about.

Daybreak provides homeless youth with safety, stability, and sets them on a path to self-sufficiency. But we need to do more! We invite you to help save these young lives from poverty and homelessness today.

Daybreak's Plan to Save Young Lives

Increase Safety: An addition to our emergency shelter provides a separate living area for minor-age youth, freeing up beds in our original shelter for growing numbers of older homeless youth.

Expand Education & Employment: In our new Stuart & Mimi Rose Opportunity Zone for Youth, our kids receive the personalized, flexible, and intensive education and employment assistance they need to become self-sufficient members of our community. Youth can earn their high school diploma and construction or healthcare credentials. They learn why to work and how to work. They have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a supportive setting at Lindy's Bakery, our transitional job program, while earning minimum wage.

Ensure Sustainability: By increasing our cash reserves, we ensure that Daybreak has the resources to weather unexected funding cuts. We don't ever want to be forced to cut services for youth. We want to make sure Daybreak is here for generations to come.

Total investment = $5 million
Saving young lives = Priceless!
