Did you know that 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+?

Mainly due to family rejection, LGBTQ+ youth are also at high risk of being victims of violence, trafficking, and housing discrimination. Daybreak serves all vulnerable and homeless youth in need. We have services designed specifically to meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ youth population through David’s Place. Opened in March 2021, David’s Place provides a safe and inclusive environment, LGBTQ+ resources and support, and entry into all other Daybreak services.

David’s Place offers:

  • A safe and inclusive environment

  • Meals, personal care and hygiene items, and free contraceptives

  • Access to shower and laundry facilities

  • Social groups and activities

  • Educational workspace and computer/WiFi access

  • Individual counseling and access to relevant support groups

  • An LGBTQ+ inclusive library of books and educational resources
